The first ...

...heart ache.

It's funny, but I threw out the theme I had something totally different in my head, but, time constraints, work and ...you know, LIFE, came at me fast this week. So... here's my take on it. It is what it is, but it's something!

Pascal a proposé le thème de la semaine : "La première...". Sujet très vaste qui m'a fait revenir quelques années en arrière, "La première" fois où je t'ai dessinée à mes côtés.

Ma contribution, après les deux belles images de Pascal, sur le thème "Rendez-vous en hiver". Pas facile de travailler ce genre d'ambiance, la chaleur de la rencontre contrastant avec le froid de la saison. Mais quel plaisir de créer des illustrations pour scribiling! Quel va être le thème de la semaine prochaine? Pascal?

Winter loving

Another Themed image, based on a discussion between Matthieu and I.
This week, we are doing sketches based on Love in winter, and more precisely, Love dates in winter.
My fist attempt. I might try it again as this is a subject I like a lot!

A mon tour de travailler sur les personnages de Pascal! L'exercice était très intéressant et je vous laisse juger par vous même du résultat. Je crois que nous renouvellerons l'expérience :)

Here my post with the characters that Pascal has made. It was really interesting to find the good environment for his girls and boys, and to mix our styles to create these pieces.
I believe we'll create again pictures together. Hope you enjoy!

Matthieu a eut cette super idee de faire des illus a 4 mains.
Le premier theme est "cafe".
Il a dessine un perso qu'il m'a envoyer, et j'ai creer le decor.
Voici mon dessin.

J'ai aussi fais des persos pour lui, et j'ai hate de voire ce qu'il va en faire!



Matthieu had this great idea to do illustrations together/
The first theme was" cafe/bar", for which he drew a character and I had to put that character into an environment.
Today's post is my take on this.

I can't wait to see what Matthieu does with my characters!

Ta première illu m'a donné envie de dessiner un arbre, un platane trapu avec un tas de feuilles rouges.
Je vois ici l'un des premiers et nombreux intérêts de ce blog : se répondre en image.

Andrew's house

I rediscovered Andrew Wyeth over the xmas break....and got inspired to do this piece. It's loosely inspired, but inspired nonetheless.

...and now I'm realizing I have a little situation here, with the two blogs.
I think I'm going to have to find a way to post certain types of images here, and others on my blog.
Ho.. what fun I see ahead!

Welcome everybody.
Just a word of explanantion here....Matthieu and I have decided to do a blog together with the ultimate goal of publishing of book of collected images from the two of us.
We'll be posting sketches , illustrations, collaborations on this blog, at least once a week.

One of the goals is also to learn from one another...Hopefully, I'll get some of Matthieu's finesse and elegance in the process!

For now, here's MY fist post..and it's a little about how San Francisco looks today, from Dolores Park.

Salut à tous,

"Scribiling". Le mot m'a été soufflé par Pascal. "Faire des croquis", voila qui pourrait introduire ce nouveau blog né dans nos deux esprits il y a presque 6 mois. En effet, Pascal et moi-même nous sommes lancés le défi de poster une illustration chaque semaine de 2009.

L'objectif? un bouquin en fin d'année avec l'ensemble de ces images et surtout l'envie de se faire plaisir en apprenant l'un de l'autre et en créant certaines illustrations à quatre mains (Flash+Photoshop, waouh!)
Partager cette aventure avec Pascal, est pour moi un grand honneur tant je suis admiratif de la richesse et de l'imaginaire de son univers graphique.

Voila pour la présentation de ce nouveau blog. Maintenant, fini les mots et place aux images.
